Add to Calendar
As a part of our programming to engage the public with folks running for office Manny's is putting together a meet and greet for Senate candidate Ambassador Dan Baer.
More about Dan:
Dan Baer is a Democrat running for US Senate in Colorado. He represented the United States and President Obama in over fifty countries around the world as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State and as US Ambassador to OSCE, the world's largest regional security organization. Dan helped Secretary Clinton develop her landmark LGBTQ speech and worked with Vice President Biden and Secretary Kerry to get international monitors to Ukraine in the wake of the 2014 Russian invasion. Dan was later appointed by Governor Hickenlooper to head the Colorado Department of Higher Education. Dan grew up in Colorado when Amendment 2 passed, barring protections for LGBTQ individuals. Now he lives in Denver, happily married, with his husband Brian. If elected he would be the first openly gay man in the Senate.
