Democrats flipped 40 House seats in 2018.
Congresswomen Sharice Davids from Kansas and Xochitl Torres Small from New Mexico were two members who defeated incumbent Republicans in their districts, and now they will be spending an evening at Manny's to answer all your questions.
About the Congresswomen:
Rep. Sharice Davids is an attorney and former professional mixed martial artist who made history in 2018 as one of the first two Native American women elected to Congress and the first openly LGBTQ Kansan elected. She is a fierce advocate for working families and was the only Kansan to flip a House seat from red to blue; Trump won Kansas by 20 percentage points.
Rep. Xochitl Torres Small is an environmental attorney, and the first woman and Latina to represent a massive district that includes the southern half of New Mexico— and shares about 180 miles of its southern border with Mexico. She won in a nail-biting election that was easily one of the closest races of 2018, and has taken on a prominent role seeking bipartisan solutions to the border crisis in her backyard.
You and these incredible women in the same room; is there a better way to spend the evening?
