Add to Calendar
In his autobiographical solo work, the former assistant to actress Elaine Stritch looks back on “good times and bum times” and discovers parts of himself that were waiting to be revealed, parts that the fabled actress known for her extraordinary antics may have seen all along. These stories have been waiting to be told with the heartfelt recollection, humor, symbolism and depth that follows what the Swiss psychologist C.G. Jung might have called, "inner work." Including dreams, astrology and fantasy, Rick Borutta recreates an emotional photograph of his journey with Stritch, losely based on the mythical journey of Percival to awaken from boyhood to adulthood.
Rick Borutta began his professional career in live theater. He managed productions across the globe for Tommy Tune and Elaine Stritch, appearing with the latter in the HBO documentary Elaine Stritch at Liberty. As a producer at CBSNews.com he created interactive media experiences for viewers, along with special event pages for 60 Minutes and 48 Hours. He is also an astrologer and the public programs manager for the C.G. Jung Institute in San Francisco.
